My name is Ally and I live in the Middle East. I'm a homeschooling mama to three kids and a lot of life happens in our home. We have only been living in this country for 7 months and while I have struggled to decorate the house (hello partly furnished house and a country without target!!) I'm beginning to love the space we have semi created. Our walls are still bare and there is regularly dust everywhere - but for now, its home. Here's a favorite part of our place - the roof. Amazing views over the neighborhood and the perfect place to watch the sun set and rise!Connect with me:     Instagram

Main bedroom. We rented an apartment that had a small amount of furniture in it. This bedroom was fully furnished so while i wasn't a huge fan of the color combination and flowery patterned cupboards - we made it work.

Entrance to Bathroom and laundry. Bright colored patterned tiles and green walls!

Everyday life - brightly colored artwork hanging on the fridge and kids playing on the floor with their toys.

Ok, so this might be strange, but this is my kids’ bedroom - without beds. Our place is not huge, and we had beds in here for a while, but after a bit the kids wanted to make their room more 'local'. Which meant we got rid of their beds, and at night they pull out the foam mattresses that are used for sitting on during the day and set them up to sleep on. This has meant they have more space to play during the day.

Our lounge room has both a couch, and local style couches - which are just mattresses on the floor. These are also our kids beds at night.

Our constantly dusty outdoor roof area. This place gets SO dusty, we are forever hosing the furniture and tiles down so that this area stays nice to sit at.

A second living area in our place. This is my favourite indoor space in our house, the place you will often find me with a coffee and book. I love the rug, I love the couch. It’s a central part of our house and always has someone reading or playing on the rug.
