Episode 11: Holding Loosely to Our Plans with Allie Riddle
It's always good to have a plan. That's the responsible thing to do, after all. Unfortunately, there's never any guarantee things will go according to plan -- and this is when our flexibility as expats is tested. Whether it's a sudden change of documents needed at the immigration office or political unrest that necessitates immediate evacuation, you can be certain your well-organized plans are no longer applicable for the current circumstances. How do you handle it? Do you let the change break you, or do you bend and then bounce back? The answer usually depends on how tightly you were holding onto the plans to begin with. In this episode, Allie shares about the emotional, spiritual, and family transformation that happened once she loosened the grip of her plans.
